Today is a sad day for me. The woman who helped raise my two older boys passed away today. We didnt start out as friends, my first husband left me for her.The boys were 3 and 5. Over the years we became close, passing the boys back and forth between two families. She was an English teacher, very structured, very organized. I was a free spirit (to put it mildly) until my late 30s. She did a wonderful job being a stepmom, told me she never had kids of her own because I loaned her 2 wonderful boys. We shared tears, fears and laughs because of those 2 boys, grown men now.I see the results of both of us in them and Im proud of the job we did. We worked together for 40+ years and I will miss you Barbara.
