Today is about recovery. I am so thankful I am no longer in the grips of addiction and found my way back to my family and my culture in a good way. I am no longer the burden to them, i am now the asset to both. When I started this journey 7 years ago I made a promise to myself and my children I would never allow this in our lives again! So on a daily basis Im grateful for the blessing around me. The good and the bad. It is also my way to exercise my resistance against the colonizers that occupy this country with their poison. I will no longer buy into their lies and teach this to anyone. I will no longer will I stand by and stay silent while this circulates through our communities watching our people teach this eachother. Being clean and sober has so many gifts that are to long to count so my prayer today is to be humble and the continued strength to walk this Red Road.
