Today it should`ve been the day of my graduation; celebrating all - TopicsExpress

Today it should`ve been the day of my graduation; celebrating all the sleepless nights at the library, all the drunken parties with the amazing people I met, and the fact that I am a grown up now ha! But I did not attend this beautiful english ceremony for two reasons. First, I am doing my masters abroad and cannot afford the time, nor the money to travel back to the UK and second, which is more important, I didn`t want to. I love University of Hertfordshire and I think it`s a brilliant university! I received more than what I dare to ask for, but in my final year I received something unexpected. I was thought the real meaning of the word betrayal. This is at least how I felt when the University of Hertfordshire Students Union showed me that even in a leading country like England, democracy is just a mask with no value. Less than a year ago rules were changed, people manipulated, and ethical codes broken so the UHSU can select their own followers during a free elections. The show they put on was for their own benefit and not a single ...... was given about the students. I still feel the pain of letting go and not chasing the truth but I had to do it in my own interest. Because of this small incident I decided not to celebrate my achievements and to try harder in future. I guess what I want to say is that I will be forever grateful to the people that were next to me throughout my time at UH and I will always remember what you did for me! In this list I am including friends, colleagues, lecturers, and senior management at UH! I hope you all have an unforgettable time and I wish you all the best in future! Love you all!
