Today may just be like any other Saturday, just a few days after Christmas but for me, today marks a special occasion. TODAY is my 2 year fit-versary. December 27, 2012 was the day I had my 1st workout and began my journey to becoming healthy. I made the decision that I was not going to wait for a New Years resolution to begin working on me. When I began I started like most people, a little bit scared and excited. In all honesty, I expected to last about 3 months (which was my average) and that I would lose 30lbs and then quit like I always did. I had reached a point where I couldnt feel much worse about myself. I was unemployed, living in a new city and state with no friends or family and I was so uncomfortable in my own skin. Weighing 292lbs and wearing a size 24; barely able to button my pants and having to resort to stretching out my shirts with my arms so they wouldnt cling to my belly. Day by day I did my workouts and tried changing eating habits. I didnt see how I was changing and wanted to quit so many times long the way, always focusing on how far I had to go rather than seeing how far I had come but all the while I was changing and didnt even realize it. This process has been full of ups and downs. Before I knew it, I looked around and my life was different, I had become laser focused on health and fitness and instead of it being something I dreaded, it was something I craved. In January 2014 one year after beginning,I set a goal to get to 185 lbs by the end of the year. 2014 has been full of twists and turns; The loss of pounds to the loss of loved ones, gaining weight back, physical injuries and physical therapy and balancing 3 jobs. It sure has been crazy ride. I nervously hopped on the scale and with 5 days to spare I have exceeded my goal. I have reached 184.4lbs and lost a total of 107.6 lbs. BUT more than reaching a number, I have found myself! I see life through different eyes; I am in awe of what my body and mind are capable of overcoming. I am excited about my future and what is to come. I still have goals so I am not done yet. 2015 will be the best year yet and I invite you to join me. Imaging where you could be just 1 year from now. Are you willing to step outside of your comfort zone and change your life? Comment Im ready if you want to rock out 2015 with me. #yourbodypotential #changeyourlife #teamfittabulous #beachbody #bringon2015 #readyforchange #2years #anniversary
