Today on my way to work I was hit by a car. The car didnt see me - TopicsExpress

Today on my way to work I was hit by a car. The car didnt see me and drove right into me. I flew off my bike onto the street. I heard the boom. My bike was eaten alive by the car. I turned around and stared at the car. My first thought was I am alive. My second thought was this is a terrorist attack and this person is going to keep going until they run me over dead. I thought this because Hamas has continued to encourage people to kill with anything. That anything can be a weapon. I ran to the sidewalk and sat shaking. A man asked me if I was ok. The driver still stayed in the car. He gave me water. Asked me if I wanted an ambulance…which no thank you I did not, too much bureaucracy. And then an American woman approached me and asked how she could help. The woman finally got out of the car and didnt know what to do. I told her she could ask me if I am OK and that she was rude for not doing so…ok I yelled it. The man stayed with me the whole time. The man was Arab. And that didnt matter. Because he cared about helping a person in distress. Not causing the distress. So it took a car crash to restore my faith in humanity just a little bit. Thank you to that good person. It isnt all war and terror. We are more than what we appear to be. Even to ourselves. To the news. And to the other. (oh, and somehow I walked away with bruises and no broken bones…now if that aint luck, I dont know what is)
