Today saw the introduction of RiverRidge Recycling as title sponsor for the 2014 Lark In The Park. Representatives of the company were joined In Ebrington Square by The Derry City Council Deputy Mayor, Gary Middleton and Alderman Maurice Devenney. The Deputy Mayor very much welcomed the return of the rally after the major success of last years event. Also present was Paul Doherty from Ilex, who are kindly making available the space for the Service Area in Ebrington, and a number of Maiden City Motor Clun officials. COC Danny Gormley remarked that all preparations are going well and it is expected that the Regulations will be posted on the club website just as soon as they are approved by MSA. Entries will open immediately thereafter. A big thank you also to John Dolan and his son for bringing along their rally car. It was a bit of a coincidence that the competition number was 74 corresponding to the year 1974 when MCMC was first affiliated to the MSA. If you have worked it out, that does indeed mean that 2014 is the 40th anniversary of the club.
