Today the Hines, Conway and Meskill families came together with us to transform an apartment at the Sixth Street Shelter/Turner Street Apartments/Ferry Street Apartments into a home for a mom and her son. New and gently used items collected by the families were placed with care and included a bed, bedding, books, toys, clothes, holiday decorations and so much more. My favorite part was seeing the kids pitch in and even create a play space in the laundry room lounge next door. Everyone got to meet some very appreciative residents and kiddos. Thank you to everyone who helped today you absolutely made someones life brighter! And a huge thanks to Kristine from the shelter for coming out to help on her day off!
