Today the Tennessee Society Sons of the American Revolution Held a Grave side service to Honor Revolutionary War Patriot Col. James Lewis. Members of the TNSSAR Color guard welcomed the Tennessee Valley Chapter Color Guard from ALSSAR and both presented the flags and held a 3 round musket volley. Dr. Micheal Bradley was the featured speaker. Col. Lewis participated in the Battles of White Plains, Trenton, Princeton, Brandywine, Germantown, and Yorktown. He was present with General Washington when He crossed the Delaware and later witnessed the surrender of Lord Cornwallis on October 19, 1781
