Today...today I taught my first class. It was only a portion of the class, but I must admit that it did not go well for myself or the other students. At least, it did not go the way we would have hoped. I am taking this in and realizing that this is not going to be easy; I am understanding more than ever that patience is key to really getting through language barriers. I am not by any means discouraged by today, but rather more motivated than I was before to really work hard and accomplish this goal. This goal is more than to finish a course, to live abroad...this goal is to be a part of peoples experiences and a part of their learning process. I will not only accomplish this goal, but I know that I will continue to surprise myself and impress myself with every moment that I get one step further than the one before.
