Today was a long day. In fact, it is getting longer as I type! :) Wonderful Dr. Wilson worked Garrett into his busy schedule today. Because of that, we had a couple of speed bumps and a super long wait. Garrett hung in even though a couple of times I thought his head was going to fly off his body and burst into flames. He decided today that he wanted to push mom in the wheelchair. This was good because it means he is WELL and has all of his energy and stamina back! It was bad because the hospital was crowded today with tours and lots of patients and families. Someone famous was there too so security was patrolling and people were flocking. My life flashed before my eyes many times today during those wheelchair rides! Ok back to the point... Dr. Wilson could not see anything alarming by looking quickly. In order to do a thorough eye exam Garrett needs to have his eye dilated and be sedated. The inactive tumors in his eye cannot be seen by just a glance since they are outside of the vision field. Are we 100% certain it is nothing? No, but since there is nothing scary jumping right out he is less concerned. The likelihood that the tumors would start growing again or new ones would form is low at this point. Not impossible, but unlikely. Until we get a really good look on September 3rd we will hold our breath and pray that nothing has changed. Until then we will meditate, drink heavily and be proud of where we are and try not think of what could happen. Thanks for the prayers and good vibes! Once again our boy has dodged a bullet. Love to you all!
