Today was a rough one, Whew! Silas anxiety was apparent as soon as we arrived in clinic. He hid his smile, stopped talking and began biting his nails as we got out of the car. He vomited within 5 minutes of being in the office with his oncologist. No offense, Doc! All his vitals he did like a champ but his port access, sedation for procedure, and wake up in the recovery room were heard down the halls. By 4pm he was already getting sick so were in a hotel room now getting some rest, and dinner. Happy note* One thing that cancer families worry about is maintaining weight. A LOT of kids end up with feeding tubes throughout treatment. Im happy to say that Silas has not only maintained his weight (29lbs @dx age of 19 months), but he is now up to a whopping 40.8LBS at 3yrs 3mos and stands 33 tall!!
