Today was the last day of the ACTG meeting, and it was a strong ending to a successful week. The morning symposium explored several collaborative research ventures dealing with HIV and substance use, including an intervention study targeted to communities of color measuring medication adherence. Several exciting neurology updates were provided in the final segment of the symposium, and then the last community session was held. Highlights included community scientific subcommittee reports, open nominations for GCAB Co-Chair (Paul Klees, my current Co-Chair, was nominated!) and a riveting showcase entitled GCABs Got Talent, featuring comedy, music, dance, poetry, and dramatic reading. Thank you to everyone for their dedication to PLHIV; I hope we all return to our various homes charged up and ready to continue our advocacy and engagement efforts. You are all like the 59 brothers and sisters I never had! #ACTG2014
