Today was truly a blessing. I believe I can speak for us all when I say that I am truly blessed to have been a part of the service project we did today. We were able to help Corazon de los Ninos in teaching the locals of a very poor community about the importance of consuming vegetables and then got to bring large bags of vegetables to their homes for them. We met incredible people with heart-wrenching stories. One little girl in particular is especially special because she is fighting childhood Leukemia and we are planning to pitch in to help her family with the very expensive chemotherapy treatments she must receive. She is very strong as is the entire community. Once we spent some time there, we took a hike up an active volcano and it was the most beautiful experience. We even got to roast marshmellows for smores over the lava flow just beneath our feet. Today was so amazing! Todays quote of the day: If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain.
