Today, we honor and remember our brother, Officer Dwayne Freeto #3573. Officer Freeto gave the ultimate sacrifice 8 years ago today after being killed in the line of duty when his patrol car was struck from behind while he was assisting a stranded motorist with a flat tire on I-35 on December 17, 2006 at 3:50am. Officer Freetos killer could possible be released from prison on New Years Eve. Just as Officer Freeto selflessly served the citizens of Fort Worth, we ALL owe it to his family to protest the release of his killer, Samuel Lee Hilburn. Samuel Hilburn has only served 6 years in prison for the brutal death of Officer Freeto.
