Today we pray for Lebanon, a country that rests between Israel and Syria. Already home to many Palestinian refugees, Lebanon has also absorbed many Syrian refugees since war broke out there in 2011. (Over 1/4 of the Lebanese population is now made up of refugees from Syria.) Lebanon remains the only land in the Middle East where all are legally free to change their religious affiliation. But relations among ethnic, religious and political groups were already strained, even before recent turmoil in the region. Pray for the government and its leaders. Pray for religious freedom to be maintained.
