Todays Mega-Dose (This is a word for somebody today) Your faith has made you whole. How many times have we read that recently? Thy faith has made thee whole. New English, old English, Greek, Latin, Japanese, Aussie. Pick a language, it doesnt matter. Your faith has made you whole, well, complete, satisfied, lacking nothing, Shalom, at peace, at rest, nothing missing, nothing broken. Isaiah in the 53rd chapter tells us with His [Jesus] stripes we are healed, present tense. 1 Peter 2:24 changes that to past tense for New Testament believers, by His stripes you were healed. Your healing is a matter of historical fact. Do you have faith to believe that? Whether you do or not it is true, but your believing it or not believing it makes the difference of whether or not it is a fact, a reality in your life. I know that sounds like double talk. Im trying to get you to see that truth and fact are two different things. Facts are a matter of perception while truth never changes no matter how it is perceived. Some people say in a very factual manner that God does not exist, but the truth is He does exist. They present the facts as they see them; that does not have any effect on Gods existence for His existence is truth - He is truth. I could give you a list of facts why I do not believe in gravity but if I step out the window here next to me the truth of gravity will defeat all my facts. A witness in a courtroom can give the facts as he sees them yet he might not see the whole account thereby missing the truth. There was a story about a woman who came into one of Smith Wigglesworths meetings who had received prayer concerning a goiter; a large lump or swelling of the neck due to a dysfunctional thyroid gland brought about usually by an iodine deficiency. She had been prayed for months earlier but the goiter was still very visible. She knew in her heart that when she had received prayer she had also received a touch from God. She knew it so well and believed it so much that she went around everywhere proclaiming how God had healed her of that goiter. She would stand up in meetings and give her testimony of how she had been wonderfully healed by the power of God, yet the goiter seamed to grow bigger. She became an embarrassment and a joke to many. They told her to keep quiet, had she lost her mind? couldnt she see that football-sized lump on her neck? One night she went home after a meeting and prayed, Lord, you know Im healed, and I know Im healed. Why wont you let those other people see how you have so wonderfully healed me? When she awoke the next morning the goiter was completely gone. The following night she brought down the house when she appeared in the meeting to give her testimony. If youve ever received healing prayer and you know God touched you yet the symptoms persist, dont let lose faith. If youve had doubts, repent. When healing prayer is given, healing always comes. It is Gods promise. Dont allow the fact that you have pain or any symptom deter you from the truth. Your faith has made you whole.
