Todays is the day that we pay homage to one of our greatest American symbols, the American Flag. Yet, I am saddened by the fact that lawyers are fighting to make it o.k. anywhere to desecrate it saying that it is a freedom of speech issue. In the Scouting program a flag was burned only when damaged beyond repair and a ceremony was held to do it right. In other nations, desecrating the flag is punishable by death. We have laws on the books to protect ours but our non representational representational government chooses to ignore them and not enforce them. You can protest all you want but we are still America, the land of the free and the home of the brave!
