Todays mini workshop will be on THIEVES. One of my very favorite oil blends. I know I say that about a lot of them, but this one rates right up there at the top. I have been out of it for the last two weeks and have had several complaints from Rod and the kids because they needed it. I will make sure I do not run out again. In fact Andrew just called from college last night, telling me to get him a bottle quickly, he has a bad cough that is resulting in nose bleeds. I am so grateful my guys are learning to care for themselves naturally. :) (Todays workshop will be posting throughout the day as I am trying to do some things with Ana before we go back to the hospital tomorrow.) Thieves Essential Oil is an excellent blend of essential oils that is specifically designed to boost immunity and support the bodys natural defenses when combating infection. It also has cleansing properties. Did you know that Thieves oil was developed based on the ingredients found in the Four Thieves Vinegar or Marseilles Vinegar? The vinegar protected against the plague in the 15th century and was prepared by thieves who robbed graves that worked in the spice industry! The vinegar was first prepared by thieves that worked in the spice industry and robbed graves to generate income when the plague hit. The spices they used topically and internally boosted immunity and therefore the bodys natural defenses could ward it off. I think you will love the smell, most people do! Its spicy and earthy aroma is refreshing and hot! What is in Thieves? There are five different essential oils in Thieves. They are listed below along with a brief description of each oil. • Clove Essential Oil (Syzygium aromaticum) has antiseptic, antiviral, anti-infectious and antifungal properties. It has the ability to reduce the bodys response to inflammation by boosting immunity. And has one of the highest ORAC values of any plant in the world! • Lemon Essential Oil (Citrus limon) has antiseptic and immune stimulating properties. It is purifying and uplifting. • Cinnamon Bark Essentail Oil (Cinnamomum verum) has antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-infectious and antifungal properties. It is a strong oxygenator and immune booster. • Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata) has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-infectious and antifungal properties. Supports a healthy respiratory system. • Rosemary Essential Oil (Rosmarinus officinalis CT cineol) has antiseptic and immune boosting properties. Reduces mental fatigue and eases stress. What are the Documented Uses for Thieves Essential Oil? Infections (viral, bacterial, respiratory), flu, colds, antiseptic, headaches, immune and lymphatic stimulant, toothache, stimulates solar plexus chakra, disinfectant, air and laundry freshener, and household cleaner. What Body Systems are affected? Respiratory and Immune. What is the Aromatic Effect on the Mind? Uplifting and energizing. What is the Spiritual Influence? Diffusing Thieves essential oil in a room will definitely purify and cleanse negative emotions and vibrations very quickly. Spray some in an emotionally charged room or in your work space. Or use it in a cleansing spiritual ritual as you would with sage, cedarwood or Purification essential oils. This is a fantastic oil for when we feel we need extra protection from what we are being exposed to in the air. A Safe Harbor Blend starts with about 0.5 ounces of Thieves Spray. Then add a drop or two of Rose Otto Oil to help us release fear and connect with unconditional love and the divine. Two drops of Peppermint essential oils to cool friction and calm feelings of terror or hysteria. And one drop of Juniper for protection. Using Thieves will stimulate the solar plexus chakra. Adding rose will also encourage the opening of the heart chakra. How do I use it? Use diluted - 20:80 dilution (one part essential oil: four part of vegetable oil). Then, • Apply several drops (2-4) on feet, throat, stomach and intestines • Apply under the arm lymphatic system detox • Apply to gums around the tooth for toothache remedy • Apply to chakras/vitaflex points • Place 1 drop on tongue and put against the top of the mouth • Directly inhale • Diffuse for 15 minutes every 3 to 4 hours, or • Dietary Supplement (See Inner Defense as well). There is also supplement called Inner Defense contains Thieves plus Oregano and Thyme Essential Oils. The oils are highly anti-infectious and are loaded with antioxidants. You can take one every day to help support your immune system and combat bugs from coming on! Good oil for the First Aid Kit? Yes, dont leave home without it! Can this oil be used for Animals? Yes, use extreme dilution. Use for infections, protection and proud flesh (horses). Note about animals: Certain oils can be very toxic to cats. Citrus products and oils in particular that are not of therapeutic grade! Please consult your vet if you are not sure about applying any essential oil to your pet. What are the Safety Precautions? Children under 18 months of age should not use this oil directly on the skin.
