Todays rant is on perspective: For whats supposed to be one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world, some Canadians are unbelievably racist, prejudice and uneducated. Its kind of disgusting seeing how people of middle eastern descent are ostracized for their religion (mostly by Christians) even in our communities here in town. First off, Christianity came thousands of years after the founding of Islamic and Muslim principles. A vast majority of the bible is based on the work of the prophet Mohammed, and whats happening now in the Middle East is nothing more than history correcting itself for the crusades a few hundred years ago. While pretty well every religious group has their extremists, extremes occur for a reason. So before you get to referring to someone from Iraq or Afghanistan as a terrorist remember this. Both Muslim and Islamic beliefs are incredibly peaceful, based on the finding of truth, peace and prosperity. The defence of home and honor. Same as Christianity, and while some excerpts from the Quran could be seen as extreme, so can every single thing written in the old testemate. Far before and even During the crusades the Catholic Church was founded on mass genocide, murder, assimilation, theft, pillaging and destruction. At this point the bible had been rewritten over 20 times in a dozen languages by people who had no IDEA what they were translating. And the church was using this book as a basis to try and exterminate all other religions. Catholics murdered innocents by the millions in the name of god they burned mosques and temples, they destroyed thousands of years of peaceful history and literally stole entire countries and gave the land to themselves. Christian terrorists tried to eradicate any religion that contradicts their own. Which is pretty much every other religion because Christianity is one of the most convoluted, contradictory and youngest religions around today. Now here we are a few hundred years later and were stuck with uneducated idiots who have NO IDEA why the war in the Middle East started , and they have the audacity to label anyone they see fit as terrorist? Half of these people want nothing more than to be able to pray without fear of being ridiculed. I cry for the people stuck in countries who go to church to ask god for help and their church is hit my a mortar. All everyone wants is peace, people just have very different ways of finding that peace. So before you get off calling anyone a terrorist, know that your religion was probably founded on terrorism. And if youre like me and dont follow faith at all, then for gods sake do some reading and educate yourself. #PERSPECTIVE
