Todays reading Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of god. Matthew 4,4 On the rear wall of a bakers shop were painted these words old bread is not hard having no bread is hard we trust that the baker was not trying to justify selling old breas by this means one thing is however true whoever has been realy hungry will understand what was meant for many years we have had an abundance of bread and how quickly we bacame dissatisfed if it did not live up to our taste we should be grateful to god for his goodness, since prosperity is not guarnteed for ever. The people of israel were fed by god with manna in the wildrness in the course of time they became weary of it was always the same yet without it they would have starved
