Todays thankfulness: 1. Start of a new week: Yes, its the dreaded Monday, but those of us who woke up this morning are still here. What a blessing that is!!!!! It will be up to each and every one of you to decide if it will be a good day or a bad day!!!! As the saying goes: You are what you eat! - well You are what you think! as well!!!!! Be thankful!!!!! 2. Chats with good friends: I had one of those chats last night with a friend I love and respect very much. She gave me some valuable insight on a personal project I want to do. After much apprehension on my part, she gave me that much needed nudge to go to a place I have never been before. Change is good, and I am going into it with an open mind and many positive thoughts!!!! I can do this!!!!!!! Thank you, Elke!!!!!! 3. Back to school: It is the time of year for all the children to go back into whatever learning environment their parents choose to send them to. Some have already started and some will start in the next few weeks. Whatever your school venue is, kids, please take your education seriously. It is not social hour, it is not about doing something other than focusing on the subject at hand, and it most certainly is not about the clothes you wear or how you look! Education and learning is your job at this point in your life that will mark your future forever, I know this because I am a retired school teacher who has had thousands of kids cross the threshold of my classroom and for whom each one was and still is special to me. Teachers, we are a special breed!!! Put the kids first always - data is data!!!! Data is only numbers, but our students are living, breathing, thinking, feeling (do I need to go on?) human beings - not robots!!!! Each one with their very special gifts. Love them, nurture them, and educate them not just with curriculum but with life skills as well!!!! Have a great day everyone and God bless!!!!!!
