Today’s Thoughts… “Just Do It” “Get your mind off of what you don’t have and use what you do have to make somebody else feel better, to brighten their day. If you do that, God will always brighten your day.” Joel Osteen Ministries….. I don’t usually post religious quotes but this one struck home for me. I have given it a lot of thought for myself and for all of you, my friends. We all have such a great opportunity each day to make someone smile, to make someone have a good day because of some compliment we gave them. Sometimes, it’s just the little things that a person needs to hear or see and their whole attitude changes for the better. We all have such a great gift that God has given us, our problem is we simply don’t use it enough. We have the ability to change so much in this world but yet we sit by and grumble to ourselves how bad the times are and there is nothing we can do. We are so wrong, there is a lot we can do and we have to start by reaching out to just one person, and then we will find our good intentions will spread like wildfire. We can’t control what we don’t have, it could be love, it could be happiness, it could be some type of lost in our lives but we can control our personalities and move forward to help someone else who might need it desperately. I have always firmly believed in the old saying of “We Reap What We Sew” and I try to live by these words each and every day. I think of myself, I know I have the ability to make people smile, I know I have the ability to brighten someone’s day. I know I have the ability to make someone feel loved. I know each and everyone of you my friends have the same ability so we must not waste that ability God gave us. We must use it every day and every moment of our lives .When, we stay busy doing good deeds we don’t have time to dwell on the things we don’t have, therefore we instantly become a better person, we instantly become a happier person, the moment we share a smile our own lives take a turn for the better. I have friends that I know would give someone “the shirt off their back” but that’s not good enough. There is hardly a moment that anyone wants or needs the shirt off your back, but what they do need is a smile, some type of emotional support or simply an act of love to be bestowed upon them. The best part of all this is the fact it does not cost us a thing, we give love, God replenishes it in our hearts, we share a smile and still have plenty of them left. Think about my words today and let your journey begin on a new path of life. Peace and comfort will come back to you ten fold……… JUST DO IT……………………………………………… Patrick P. 3/22/2013
