Tomorrow marks a very important first day of child cancer awareness month in our home!!! I will admit three years ago I wouldnt have thought much about it just like most of you!!!! April 27,2012 that changed !!! Kaleb was diagnosed with very high risk acute lymphoblastic Leukemia!!!! In my mind it was the C word it was an immediate death sentence!!!! Two and a half years later Kaleb is still fighting for his life on a daily basis!!! We have conquered the big C word(so far)!!! Im very aware of childhood cancer!!! I live with it I my world constantly!!!! Chemo appts, home chemo pills, not being able to go to school bc of low counts, being in the hospital days and weeks on end, puking,crying, siblings wondering where their brother is, or if he is going to be ok....I am aware because I see so many others close to our clinic dealing with the same worries, sickness and some have it worst they have not conquered it and lost a beautiful baby to this C word.... Lets stop being aware and lets do something about!!!! Research needs to be done so these babies do not have to fight for their lives any longer!!! So please instea of passing by a post about child hood cancer please read it, inform yourself and your loved ones and DO something about!!! These kids are our future, lets let them be here for their future!!!!
