Tonight the band took possession of what was left of the boehm system silver flutes we used in the 80s early 90s. These flutes were bought for the band by Mr Alex Muir and were returned to him when we changed our instrumentation in 1994. Alex has now donated them back to us as a piece of history or to use to our benefit. The flutes we have now got are 2 treble Gs, 5 concert Cs, 4 Altos and a C piccolo which is in for repair. He also is giving us a glockenspiel for the percussion section. We would like to thank Alex and his family for their kindness and support.....watch this space......the beat goes on!
