Tonight, three children will be sleeping on a bed instead of the floor, for the first time in two years. They all live in this one room apt, and when I went to see how they live, it broke my heart. I started a cause, called the Family Support Fund. Pending on donations we can gather, we will try to enable a family with children to live a functional life. We will have this room filled with bunk beds and a sofa bed for all four to sleep normally. Now we can’t do this all the time, and there is a list of children in need. We will do our part and help change lives. Most of the big time organizations spend money on nonsense, and immense salaries. Most of our NY foundations focus on secondary needs, like arts and neighborhood beautification. Those things a nice, but try enjoying those things when you don’t have anything to eat or even a bed to sleep on. I can’t even get any minimal support even to help RCS to keep the lights on. I think many would need to consider what organizations and foundation you would support. Stick to your most local organization and support them, as long as they are following out their mission and not their personal greed and ambitions. If like can be a supporter of the diverse programs at RCS, first visit the web site, check it out, and you can make a decision.
