Tonights creative expression through culinary experimentation: Frozen, packaged ripe plantains, browned/sauteed in a tablespoon of butter in a skillet, with grated fresh ginger, continued heating on warm with some frozen strawberries and a light sprinkling of brown sugar. Quite delicious, but not a pretty color. It would probably be best to warm the strawberries separately, then pore them on after the plaintains are hot.
