Tony Abbott is pushing for business to take role in schools as part of industry makeover. The federal govt will trial companies having a greater role in the school system, which could lead to technology and mining companies – and even McDonalds – being drafted in to bolster science, technology, engineering and maths education. Outsourcing our schools curriculum to multi-national corporations is totally unacceptable. We dont want our kids learning nutrition from fast food companies. Or being taught about climate change by big polluters.
