Tony Gaskins... "You attract what you are, not what you want. So if you want it then reflect it!" This is a new take on an old proverb... "Birds of a feather flock together." It is imperative that we evaluate ourselves by the people we attract. Obviously we are surrounded by a variety of people with differing personalities and characteristics. The issue is not characteristics, its character. When we are exemplifying integrity, strength and commitment we attract people who hold these qualities as important values. When we exemplify carelessness, sloth or any other negative characteristic, we attract those that find these acceptable. There is another old saying that is appropriate here... "You made your bed, sleep in it!" This may seem a little blunt, but remember, you can turn it around. Make a commitment to yourself and start developing habits that will create an upward movement.
