Founded by the beauty industry’s revolutionary iconic figure and Dallas’ own, Isis Brantley, the parade and festival that features Universal Recording Artist, Erykah Badu, was created to celebrate, promote and cultivate the love and acceptance for Natural Hair, Body and Spirit. The Parade and Festival, our cornerstone events, will be held Saturday, September 6th 2014, with the parade starting (line up at 8 am) on Lamar and Martin Luther King Blvd. in South Dallas and moving thru the sunny south side and ending at The Pan African Connection bookstore. Allowing the sun to settle a bit, the festival will pick back up at 7pm and continue into the night. The Swagg Award will be given to another internationally renowned Jazz pianist living in DFW, Arlington Jones whose music evokes joy, hope and faith among people all around the world.
