Top traveling chaos stories associated with traveling with Justina: 1. Almost getting arrested for trying to bring chocolate tools to Germany. 2. Showing up at check-in at OHare with an expired Passport. Was to be in Cancun on Saturday, actually arrived on Tues. 3. While driving to Alaska, realized at some point I had no idea where I was (except that it was Edmunton) because I had been following the car in front of me for miles. 4. Missing flight to Germany because the flight from Madison was late... flights changed many times. Ended up in Europe without a coat in January, until my luggage caught up with me almost 36 hours later. 5. Being 17 years old in NYC and having no money because someone stole the $70 dollars I had while I was asleep on the plane. I was on my own to get to the airport the next day... and on my own for all meals. 6. Having been told my train ticket would be one amount and then learning on the train that it was a lot more to buy the ticket on the train. Not having enough money, and a very sweet woman giving me the extra $9. 7. Finding people had moved into our family tent (one we owned and that had our stuff in it), because they liked it better than the rental tent supplied by the camp ground. However, along the way I met amazing people who helped me. Airline employees who went above and beyond to try to get me to my final destination. I never screamed or ranted at them. Being polite has gotten me things such as meal vouchers, hotel rooms and an upgrade to first class (from Houston to Minneapolis). I have had people tell me that they would have given up and gone home, if they had had some of the adventures I did. Too bad. Sometimes the road getting to your destination is a lot more exciting than the destination... but I am just crazy like that.
