Totally enjoyed X-Men: Days of Future Past today. I wish I hadnt had that cup of coffee before going today though. That was the most uncomfortable and painful last hour of a movie Ive sat through in a very long time, but I was NOT going to miss one second of this movie. Make sure to hit those bathrooms beforehand or youll end up like Austin Powers after he was unthawed and experienced a 5 minute evacuation process. Ha! Lesson learned! Anyway, the story here is fairly easy to follow, even though its a time travel piece. And you may want to refresh your X-Men film history before you see this one. It will make much more sense if you do. I actually have a few questions myself after seeing this one so I may need to revisit X-Men, The Last Stand to find those answers. I did love the role of Wolverine in this story. His character is vital and lI think Hugh gets better at it every time. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are fantastic again as the younger versions Prof. Charles Xavier and Magneto. Fassbender is so good at being bad. And a bit scary. He and McAvoy have a great chemistry together. Jennifer Lawrence does a great turn reprising Mystique, as well as Nicolas Hoult as Beast. We did not see the 3-D version, but I do recommend seeing this movie on a large screen if you have that option. Loads of special effects to be fully appreciated here. Marvel Studios continues to crank out outstanding comic book based movies. Im already looking forward to the next X-Men movie. I did stay until the very end, which was excruciatingly painful by that point, but I had to wait anyway so what the heck. It was worth the wait. I think. ;)
