Transfer silly season is in full flow with the Daily Starclaiming that they have “exclusive” news that Gareth Bale wants to join Manchester United. This flies in the face of all recent Gareth Bale interviews wherehe continuously stresses that he is happy at the club, loves the Tottenham Manager Andre Villas-boas and has just finished a promotional campaign for EA Sportswhere he appears on the cover of FIFA 14 wearing a Tottenham shirt! It appears the media are hellbent on Gareth Bale’s departure from Tottenham and are refusing to accept that he will stay at White HartLane, and may even sign a new contract at Spurs. Real Madrid have openly flirted with the possibility of Gareth Bale joining the new Galacticos next season, but after repeated refusals from Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy they seem to have finally left the idea alone for now. Manchester United have been linked with a £60 million bid, but the chances of him joining another English team from Tottenham seem incredibly remote.
