Treason tribunal has been following the right procedures and I have been strictly following up the court’s trial. So far with limited experience and knowledge, I can say the judges in South Sudan have been doing their level best to side to rules of law and withstand political influences. Fortunately, on the eve of the final hearing, South Sudanese government stated that the government will drop treason charges against the four political prisoners. I think we have to consider this as a good will gesture and first step in steering the exchange beyond their self interest in finding negotiated settlement.
