Tree Talk The sap of summer now rushing thru their vital parts, And their leaves fully veined, The oak and the maple are a bit bored, With time on their hands, they are chatting it up… Have you noticed, the locust is dropping some wood? So slovenly, don’t you agree? We’ve warned her times over, we’ve done what we could, But what else could we see from that tree? So cheap and so common, her family’s well known To be used where cement lines a drive We know trees of her type are so easily grown, Tell me how can our image survive?
