Triennium Basics: Phones ~ You may bring phones but please only - TopicsExpress

Triennium Basics: Phones ~ You may bring phones but please only use them when needing to call home or needing to connect with someone on the trip. We will ask that they are in pockets and out of sight when with others and during activities. Be with the ones you are with and tell your friends and family about it when you get home. Seek to be present in the place and with the community gathered. We promise it will be a great adventure! Clothes ~ Please dress modestly. No short shorts or short tops. You are representing your church and our Presbytery. If you couldn’t wear it to school, you probably don’t want to bring it on this trip. Meals ~ will be taken care of going, during and coming home. Please bring a snack to share on the road. Any money you bring will be for extras you might want to buy at Purdue or you might want to give in worship in the offering time. Packing ~ Where the bus drops the group may not be next to the dorm (home sweet home for the week) so you will want to have bag or duffle with wheels. A small fan is also a good idea, if it can fit in your bag its perfect size. Please pack smartly and not overboard as we have a full bus. A small bag for your personal items on the bus is a great idea too. So your main duffle or bag will go under the bus but you are welcome to bring a pillow and personal bag on the bus to have with you for the ride. We leave July 15th. We will gather at the Presbytery Center 915 East Gowen Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19150, . Please plan on being dropped off at the Center at 9pm. We will return to the Center on July 21st about 1-1:30am. Students will call parents when they are about an hour outside of Philadelphia. Please plan on having a ride home or a car pool to get you when the bus arrives. Blogging~ Students who like to blog are encouraged to share some of their experience throughout the week at the Presbytery’s Facebook page, https://facebook/Philadelphia2013TrienniumTeam?fref=ts This is a great way for family, friends and church families to follow the faith adventure and fun of Triennium. Pray ~ For the team working to get Triennium ready coming from all the corners of the country. For our team, save travel, open minds & open hearts and for an amazing week. Questions ~ Email Pastor Sharyl Marshall @ [email protected] or call her at 609-529-1280.
