Trouble in paradise: When the going had become rough in Sept 2011- it underwent a major engine overhaul. It was consuming about two liters of engine oil for every one hundred kms and white smoke through the exhaust was emanating. The engine power had also decreased. The original BMC 1476 cc, side valve engine was rebored and new pistons, rings, connecting rods and more were refitted.Can see the old timer mechanic at work (hes better than many engineers).The finished engine block can also be seen.. Its been three years, the car has emerged much, much better and runs like new.
