Trying to acquire me some cannonballs 😋 Dana Linn would be so proud 💪 Just a short video showing some other shoulder work I did yesterday. Top: hammer frontal raises Bottom: anterior frontal raises Both exercises are great for smashing the shoulders. They look quite similar, but they are dissimilar in that they hit different muscle points in the shoulders due to the slight difference in positioning of your hands and arms on extension. I performed these as part of a set with back and tricep work. Heres what I did.. - 4 sets x 12 reps, no rest in between each exercise - over head tricep extension with the cables (stretch and squeeze) - pulley rows - Hammer frontal raises - Anterior frontal raises This type of training (high rep and training to fatigue muscles) also known as cytoplasmic hypertrophy or more commonly size training is a way of trying to cause tears in the muscle tissue and force whats known as cytoplasmic fluid (ie the pump) into the muscle. In essence, when this occurs, muscle growth is stimulated, allowing you to get bigger If you train correctly and smart, and are programmed right, theres absolutely no reason why you cant get stronger, while packing on muscle and getting leaner. It is doable.. But you need to approach it carefully! Im currently training for growth, but Im also doing myofibril hypertrophy training (ie strengthening muscle that is already preexisting) so that I can get stronger, while growing and getting leaner, So far it is working nicely! My point here is this... Train smart and you will reach your goals!
