Tucker, one terrific terrier, was born 14 years ago today. The specifics of his conception (aside from the obvious) are a little hazy because we were not his first people, but it seems that a terrier breeder was either very fashion forward on designer dogs or her cairn hopped the fence to visit her jack Russell at an opportune moment. Tucker was sold thru a sort of pet store to a teen girl with poor judgement as a christmas gift for her boyfriend. Tuckers relationship with said teen boys mom lasted for a full week after christmas 2000. He was indeed an handful and a pup, and i joke that i didnt know what he looked like for the first three years because he never stopped running. Tucker is the smartest dog i have ever known, and has a great, big loyal heart. The other furry kids (and i adore each of them) would hide from a gunman, Tucker would take the bullet for me.And laugh. If he doesnt get his daily frisbee session in, he is frantic and worried, and refuses to finish breakfast. Unfortunately, yesterday, he made a high impact catch and lost a tooth, but that slowed him down not a bit. I so hope for a few more years with this incredible guy. I guess you can tell that im pretty crazy about him.
