Tunisia crushes Sierra Leone dreams By Martin Wusha Conteh The `Carthage Eagles` of Tunisia crushes Sierra Leone hopes of reaching the final stage of qualifiers after they secured a 2-2 draw away from home in a Group B 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifying encounter at the National Stadium on Saturday. Goals from Oussama Darragi and Fakhreddine Ben Youssef helped the Carthage Eagles to move a step closer of securing a place in the final stage of the qualifiers. The result means that Sierra Leone realistically stands 40% chance of qualifying for next year’s world Cup. The Swedish based striker Alhassan Crespo Kamara put the home side ahead again but substitute Fakhreddine Ben Youssef snatched a dramatic equalizer to keep Tunisia top of the group by five points and looking secure to advance in the final stage of qualifiers. Sierra Leone now lies second in the current standing with five points trailing their Tunisia counterpart by five points. Speaking after the match, John Kamara who plays his professional football in Greece said complacency was the factor responsible for Saturday`s draw. He said; “We played well in the first but we were a bit complacent just after `Crespo`s goal,” he told this press. “We know how frustrated the supporters are but that is football. He however called on supporters to accept the result and continue rallying behind the team. When asked whether he was nervous on his debut, he replied, “Oh yes! “My debut was a good one and some fans appreciated my performance. I`m young and I hope to give my in the coming matches. “We have a young side and with time we`ll adapt to the system.
