Twelve years ago today I woke up at 3:30 am with contractions. They were coming every 3 minutes. I was pretty excited as this would be my fourth and last baby. Excitedly I woke up Derek and told him it was time to go to the hospital. The longest labour I had was four hours so I was expecting this to be fast and fairly painful. To my dismay, the doctor refused to break my water and after taking something for pain the contractions stopped. :S. I was so disappointed when the doctor told me I may as well go home and not bother coming back till the contractions are consistently 4 min apart. I decided to go to a friends for a while and told Derek Id call him when it was time to go to the hospital. My contractions were crazy all day 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 20 minutes, 16 min and all over the map. My friend and I walked around the block at least 30 times that day and then all of a sudden without any warning my contractions started coming one after another with no break. I frantically called Derek and told him to meet me at the hospital. He was a bit upset I waited till the last second but really it just happened all of a sudden. My friend gave me a ride and on the way to the hospital my water broke. I was nervous thinking I might jay have this baby in the car. I did make it to the hospital and I was fully dilated when I got there but unlike the rest of my kids who took less then five min to push out, Jasmine took an hour and a half, giving her dad and my mom time to get to the hospital. Finally at 6:21 pm Jasmine Saige Nicole was born weighing in at a hefty 8 lbs 6 oz. Perfect in every way and a true blessing in my life. Happy Birthday Jazz! I love you to the moon and back! ❤️❤️❤️
