Two Copperbelt University Dons have described the decrease in fuel pump prices as insignificant considering the reduction of crude oil on the international market. Dr MUYUNDA HABAZOKA,a lecture in the school of business said that the people of Zambian expected a significant reduction on the cost since the fuel prices on the international market has drastically dropped. He told ZNBC News in Kitwe today that the process of crude oil has reduced from 120 dollars per barrel to 76 dollars on the international market. And School of Business Dean BIEMBA MALITA has appealed to the Energy Regulation Board to take a bold decision to reduce the pump price further so that it can benefit the people of Zambia. Dr MALITI said that the reduction is a mockery which will not reduce the way of doing business. He said that the government through the ERB still has an opportunity to effect a meaningful reduction which will be appreciated by the people. But a fuel attendant PATRICK MPUKA said the reduction will be appreciated by customers who have been complaining about the higher fuel prices.
