Two days ago I joined members of #Women4Serino, Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro, and Dutchess County Legislator Gwen Johnson to denounce a campaign mailer sent out in support of Terry Gipson’s re-election effort by one of his top donors, VOTE-COPE. The mailer, which has even been condemned by Governor Cuomo, depicts a severely abused domestic violence victim and attempts to claim that I would not stand up for abused women. Nothing could be further from the truth! Throughout my campaign I have reiterated my support for victims of domestic violence and women’s rights. Unfortunately, Terry has still not responded to my request that he return the over $27,000 he has taken from the VOTE-COPE since he was elected.
