Two important notes! Firstly, please do not post any messages of a political activism or boycott nature on our page. There is a venue for that and I am afraid it is not here. We have been warned that things of this nature could jeopardize our getting charitable status. While as individuals we may support these causes and wish to participate in what is going on, Helping Our Northern Neighbours is a passive humanitarian organization whose sole mission is to get food and other essentials into the hands of those who need it. Secondly, to all those who accept a match and agree to send a box, or sponsor a family, PLEASE follow through! If for any reason you are unable to do this or if you change your mind, then please let us know and we will understand. We have had a few instances recently where someone agreed to send out a box within the next week or so, and the recipient family was eagerly waiting, and when weeks later the box had still not arrived and I looked into it, I was told the person had changed their mind, or simply not done it. I understand that circumstances can change on a dime, but if you let us know we can re-match the family right away so that nothing is lost.
