Two men have been arrested following investigations into a fatal pedestrian crash at Ambarvale this morning. About 10:45am (Monday 10 June 2013), a 70-year-old man was walking along the footpath on Dickens Road, when he was struck by a Nissan Pulsar which overturned and ended up on the front lawn of a property. He was taken to Campbelltown Hospital but died a short time later. Two men fled the car which had allegedly been stolen from an address in Woodbine earlier in the morning. About 4:30pm, police attended Greenoaks Avenue, Bradbury, where they became involved in a foot pursuit with two men who ran through yards and jumped residential fences. A 22-year-old man was arrested after the foot pursuit. Police continued to search for the second man and about 6:30pm officers arrested a 24-year-old man in the Bradbury area. Both men have been taken to Campbelltown Police Station where they are currently assisting with inquiries. Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are continuing investigations into the cause of the crash and are calling for witnesses to come forward.
