U8 Black away to Morden Magpies - cold wind tore across the exposed pitch reminded us of Port Vale away days. Game started as a fairly scrappy affair with little quality on both sides but plenty of competitiveness. The first half finished with a goal each Xander scoring for BUFC. After half time we really livened up and passed the ball quickly and with purpose consequently we were then rewarded with the goals. Great attacking 4 players brought 3 goals, a 2nd from Xander, 1 from Michael John and Oliver. First half of the 2nd game was again a good display of passing football, using the space and keeping wide this was rewarded with 2 goals 1 for Rhys and the first goal for Aaron who led the line well. The second half we fell away, were to narrow and the midfield got greedy and didnt pass Xander scored his 3rd but Morden came back with 3 goals. Scores 1-4, 3-3. Well done boys some good football in the middle man of the match was Aaron who worked the space well, looked to pass the ball at the right time and found himself in some excellent positions throughout.
