UNR was for selfish interest Ilolo Ewareoghene Ufuoma Today, the meaning of the word selfish has been expounded by my friend ilolo . Selfishness according to him,is when we ask the government to give Umeh access road so that her farm produce,in line with the state government delta beyond oil policy ,can be exported out of the community and the Government grant our request or when is when we ask DLA to extend the rehabilitation of roads to Isoko and Araya,Owhe Ologbo,Enwhe,Ogbemudia road Oleh,Ozoro-Oleh back road ,Owodokpoko were rehabilitated or is when we told the world that Uro primary school pupils sits on the floor and the Amudo led isoko south council,said No,our pupils must not sit on the floor and gave them chairs to sit on,so that they can learn in a conducive environment or is when we cried out that umeh primary school with over 500 pupils has only 7 teachers and the Governor directed that teachers should be transferred to the school and 10 teachers were transferred there immediately or when God through the Governor via UNR said our brother Tega and our senior sister Dr Bridget must not die or when we pull our little recourses together to stock Oleh library with good books or when we donated football to more than 15 isoko schools or when flood came,and we sent relief materials of about 1m to internal displaced persons at Ozoro and Oleh or when with our little resources we donated generators and incubators to Oleh and Ozoro hospitals or when we donated UNR branded note books to Emevor and Uro primary schools pupils or when we cried to the public and our brother Akpos got scholarship or when we said Enhwe bridge must be fixed and Hon Leo Ogor got NDDC to mobilize contractor to site to get the bridge fixed or when we said our children in Oleh and Irri orphanages must not be forgotten or when we complained of the dilapidated state of Uzere and Oyede schools,the Governor quickly sent his commissioner of education to both schools to see what can be done to remedy the situation or when we had a debate on the famous Emevor bus promised and the Governor just yesterday delivered a coaster bus to the church etc,if this what is called selfish then I am proud to be part of this selfish family.
