#UPDATE: NEVER BEFORE SEEN FOOTAGE - SEA SHEPHERD ENCOUNTER WITH ECOTYPE D ORCAS Approximately 2 weeks ago we reported that the The MV Bob Barker had a very special encounter with a pod of rare Orcas. Images of the encounter were forwarded to Marine Ecologist and (Antarctic) Orca expert, Robert L. Pitman. He reports that these were, “definitely a Type D Killer whale,” adding, “I dont think they have ever been filmed alive.”
