UPDATE on Cassie: (Please see post below) The neurologist met with my sister. The MRI showed multiple strokes, BUT we are praising God, because it was best-case scenario - in that it affected the same area in her brain each time. The neurologist was very encouraged about this. She had something called a vertebral artery dissection, most likely from the recent delivery of her daughter, Maggie. The doctors feel confident that she will make a full recovery and regain full function. She will undergo a few more tests today to rule out anything more serious and to check for any more blood clots. In about 2 weeks she goes back for another MRI to check on things, but the medical staff feels very positive that she will not suffer another stroke again. Thank you for your prayers!
