UPDATE: (some of you have asked) - My father is still in ICU. On Wednesday morning he had a small stroke, but mentioned he had had chest pains the day before, His blood work showed he had also had a heart attack within the 24 hours prior to the stroke, On Wednesday evening they did a heart catheterization, where they found one vein to be 100% blocked, which the dr could not get through at all, and another vein 80% blocked which they were able to open up and put a stent in. Bypass surgery is not an option at this point due to the strokes and the blood thinners he needs to take. Yesterday he was to be moved out of ICU into a regular room, but yesterday morning he started to become increasingly confused, and very agitated, and it appears that he has had another stroke. He also has COPD, and has been struggling with his breathing since he had the heart procedure. He is currently still in ICU, and we are just taking things hour to hour and not sure whats next. Its been difficult to see him like this. Your thoughts and prayers are a great comfort at this time. Ill be heading up to the hospital shortly........I may need doughnuts first. (why oh why, in times of crisis, when I actually feel like I can eat, I want all the junk food!??!)
