URGENT *Flash Flood Warning* update for Herkimer County... Emergency management reports flash flooding in southern Herkimer County following a line of thunderstorms with extremely heavy rainfall. Multiple roads have been washed out near the Towns of Herkimer and Middleville, as well numerous other road washouts throughout southern Herkimer County. Local streams and creeks have exceeded bankfull and are overflowing onto several roadways, making travel nearly impossible. This is an extremely dangerous situation. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will continue causing flooding. The previously issued Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 9:30pm.
